Again, imitating their natural environment is important, and food in particular is a crucial point. Knowing what type of turtle you have will determine the type of food it will need to sustain it. Turtle food can be purchased in pet supply stores, in varieties to suit Aquatic Turtles or Tortoises, and carnivorous diets to herbivorous diets. Since diet is the most crucial part of turtle care, take time to find the best diet for your pet turtle.
Turtle care also extends to health. Handle your pet as little as possible. Enjoy them visually; watch the turtle swim, bask in the light, move around in its habitat and eat. Doing so will bring joy and happiness to the owner, and to the turtle as well.
